He is a director of Algoma Central Corp. and Landmark Global Financial Corporation (both public companies), and is Chancellor of Renison College, at the University of Waterloo. Mr. Burns served as Deputy Chairman of Extendicare Inc. from 1992 until November 10, 2006. Mr. Burns is a former executive of Extendicare Inc., having served as President (1985 - 1992), Chairman (1984 - 1985), and Chairman and CEO (1980 - 1984). Mr. Burns has been on the Extendicare Inc.
